AEROCOPTER AK1-3 is the best flight training helicopter for South Africa.

In South Africa factory built non type certified AK1-3 can be used for flight training, provided it is operated through a registered flight school and maintained by a certified helicopter mechanic as per the factory maintenance schedule. Instructing pilot must have Instructors rating/license.

It can also be used for commercial photography and crop spraying, provided the pilot has a commercial pilots licence.

Private flying, no problem as long as pilot has a private Pilot Helicopter license.

AK1-3 is $100K cheaper than R22.

Sergei Sikorsky and Aerocopter AK1-3

Sergei Sikorsky (1925– ), Sikorsky's eldest son. Sergei served in the United States Coast Guard, and later earned a degree from the University of Florence. He joined United Technologies in 1951, and retired in 1992, as Vice-President of Special Projects at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Sergei Sikorsky came to Ukraine in 2012 and we met him and was lucky to show our helicopter Aerocopter AK1-3.
We will never forget this amazing meeting, Mr.Sikorsky Jr.
